Of course my mind wasn’t quite working as well as it should have been, but I thanked her so much for what a huge impact the books have had on my life, and the humble, amazing woman she was looked at me and thanked me for saying that. I asked if I could have a hug, but her handler said that they had to stop the hugs because they were taking too long. Jo said that she was very sorry and held out her hand in that British way, so I took it and kissed it lightly and thanked her again so much for everything she has done. She looked at me and said, “Thank you, you are so sweet, thanks,” with her beautiful, soft, British lilt and then I went on my way with my book in hand.
